Welcome to the Resource Library! Here, you will find all of my articles, videos, and more available to paid subscribers. I have also included a few free resources so you can get a taste of what paid subscribers have access to. Free information will be marked ‘FREE’. All information not marked ‘FREE’ is available to paid subscribers.

Started in June of 2025, this is a growing body of work. Feel free to watch or read what you’re drawn to and take time to implement it. This is designed to be absorbed in small, easily accessible chunks. Not all material fits neatly into one category. For example, ‘Navigating Sensory Overload with Mindshifting’ is under ‘Mindshifting’, but could easily fall under ‘Disability Support’, as well. Scan through multiple categories to find what meets your current needs and interests. Enjoy!

The Paper Girl: A Novel

About The Paper Girl:

This novel was seventeen years in the making. The idea sprouted when I tagged along to my mom’s college reunion in the 2000s. Everyone seemed excited to be there and had such fond memories of college. I kept looking for people like me, the ones who’d slogged through hours of study only to end up just as confused as when they’d started. I wanted to know who had gotten lost on campus the whole first semester and who had felt nauseous from the din of the dining hall. Where were the people who’d worked hard to find a way out of those experiences to attain the lives they wanted? Gradually, I realized no one had felt these things.

For a moment, I felt alone. Then I realized there had to be someone like me out there in the world. Whoever was out there must feel as alone as I felt, so I decided to write a novel to share this experience with the world. I wasn’t sure where to start. I didn’t want to write about all the trauma that comes with disability. That would be taxing on my mental health and no fun to read. There had to be a story. I had to find a way to show the struggle and the joy of living the life I wanted.

After many years of trial and error, I found my main character, Ellie. We meet her during her sophomore year of high school, when she’s feeling her most misunderstood. She has an invisible disability that no one understands. Everyone can see she needs help, but no one in her family or at her high school knows how. The person who knows her inside and out is her best friend, Alva. They have a symbiotic relationship of mutual support and understanding. Despite Alva’s support, Ellie is keenly aware of the fact that they’ll grow up. She knows Alva will be perfectly capable of caring for herself one day, but what will happen to Ellie?

This novel takes the reader on a coming-of-age experience of a girl with a disability, vividly showing what neurodivergence is like from the inside. Heartwarming and sincere, this book reveals an experience rarely discussed and offers hope to those struggling to find understanding. As one reader recently told me, “The end makes me cry happy tears every time!”
